Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS)
The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) is a multi-institutional consortium of medical research institutions forged from a desire to promote clinical research and translational science. Convened through a prestigious NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), GHUCCTS offers resources and support for investigators including training programs, biostatistical services, workshops and seminars including a monthly Research Grand Rounds, career development services, and more.
MedStar–Georgetown Collaborative Center for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Research and Education (AI CoLab)
The AI CoLab is a joint initiative between MedStar Health and Georgetown University to create, advance, and lead artificial intelligence research and education. This partnership brings together the capabilities of our diverse healthcare system and a leading academic institution working towards shaping the future of artificial intelligence and machine learning in medicine and academics.
Perinatal LAW
MedStar Health partners with Georgetown Law’s O’Neil Institute for National and Global Health Law to provide medical-legal services to patients to help remove barriers to health care and address social determinants of health through various programs including MedStar Health’s D.C. Safe Babies Safe Moms and crisis intervention initiatives.

MedStar Health-Georgetown University Research Symposium
Hosted by the MedStar Health Research Institute, MedStar Health Academic Affairs, and Georgetown University Medical Center, the MedStar Health-Georgetown University Research Symposium is open to all members of the research and education community interested in learning more about scholarship at MedStar and Georgetown. The Symposium offers the opportunity to connect with researchers, educators, residents, executive leaders, and collaborative partners from across the region and our system to build meaningful relationships to further advance the health of our community.
